PROGRAMS
Programs sponsored by the library include
* The Adult Book Club, Coordinated by Chris Foster. The book club meets the last Sunday of the month in the library, from 1-4pm. Each month a book of interest to African Americans is selected by one of the members to read and discuss. Call the Arts Center to find out the current book being read and to join.
* Homework help. During the after-school hours on weekdays, children may do their homework in the library. Volunteers are available to offer assistance.
* The library also offers occasional workshops and special events.
LOCATION
Located on the basement level of the HHAC, the library is a warm and comfortable space to browse, read or study and is a comfortable small group meeting area available to community groups.
YOU CAN HELP
* Donate your Books! Donations of books related to the subject area are always welcome. We will be happy to provide donation forms for your records. We also appreciate books of interest to African American children. We could also use additional bookshelves in good condition.
*Volunteer! We need volunteers to help shelve and organize the library’s contents, enter the contents into our database, organize a reading club for children, organize a special event for the library.
