Black Pride Street Photography
Featuring the Work of Jeffrey Horne
February 8th through April 9th, 2010
At the Jerry Burrell Gallery
The photographs for this exhibit were taken from three series
(World Day of Atonement, 1996; The West Indian Carnival, 1993;
and the Filming of Malcolm X, in 1991). In doing so, the artist is
attempting to explore Black Pride and the unmistakable expression
of Pan-African culture. The photography exhibited is an eyewitness
to history.
