The Founders Fund
Endowment
2008 marks the Hamilton Hill Arts Center's 40th Anniversary. Forty years ago Margaret Cunningham and other visionaries were involved in the birth of the Hamilton Hill Arts Center. Little did they know that forty years later, the Arts Center would still be going strong, offering creative opportunities to children in the neighborhood and bringing the arts and culture of Africans and African-Americans to the entire region.
An endowment was established to plan for the future and ensure that forty years from now, the Hamilton Hill Arts Center will still be going strong. This endowment, named the Founders Fund, is in honor of the accomplishments of the founders and many others. This endowment will start small and will be protected with care, until it has matured to the point that we can make use of the interest without touching the principle.
So far, we have raised $1,500.00. Please consider donating to our Founders Found to ensure that the Hamilton Hill Arts Center has a prosperous future and can continue to serve our communities throughthe Capital Region--and beyond!
All donations are 100% tax-deductible. Once a donation is made, you will receive an email confirmation as well as a written thank you through the mail (which will also serve as your recipt for tax purposes). For Endowment donations, please select "Endowment" in the "Donation Choices" menu.
Looking back on the Hamilton Hill Arts Center’s 40 years, we reflect on our unique role as the Capital Region’s only art center focusing on African-American contributions to American culture and the many lives we have touched—and those who have touched ours.
We appreciate your continued support, and hope you’ll come and visit us soon.
