Bringing Programs to Schools and Other Learning Institutions

The Hamilton Hill Arts Center is dedicated to enhancing the general curriculum of the public school system with cultural arts programs that focus on the history and contributions of African-Americans and traditional Africa to American culture. Arts In Education programs are designed to nurture pride and appreciation of the culture of African-Americans in students of all races and cultural backgrounds.

Programs include African art, drumming, lectures on African artifacts, storytelling, mask making, sculpture, African dancing and much more! Workshops are available for elementary through high school classes in Capital District schools. Hamilton Hill Arts Center staff members work with the classroom teachers and school administration to tailor programs to the curriculum of your specific group. Ask about a workshops that relate to your classroom's curriculum!

There is a modest fee for workshops to cover administrative and artists' costs. Please refer to the Services page for pricing. Pricing is negotiable. Please contact Taj Majors for more information at (518) 346-1262, ext. 10.
